keyboard cat.
Inkwell really likes computer keyboards, and can reset the computers to all kinds of things...
unless they are turned off.

keyboard cat close-up.
Sweet sleeping kitten.

Stretched cat.
Inkwell is laying on my legs, stretched out to attack.
I put my hands under the blanket and started to massage his shoulders, and he fell asleep.

under chair cat.
With no concept of danger, the kitten settles down under the recliner's legs.

arm cat.
His favorite spot to settle is still on human arms.

arm cat.
This is Inkwell in post-op relaxation. He got hyper again later.

shy cat
Inkwell is getting sick of having his picture taken.

Mar. 4, 2012

He chases the mouseys all over the house, but when I get the camera out he stops to contemplate them.

This is as close to an action shot as I'm likely to get.

costco house
Inkwell is enjoying the Costco-supplied cat house.

costco house 2
I put some toys in it from his toybox, and now it's part of his fun.

costco house 3
Inkwell sometimes event stops for a pose.

Inkwell enjoys hiding behind the living room curtains, cuddling up in the sunlight.

curtains 2
He's not so keen on me finding him there for some reason.

curtains 3
But he really does enjoy that sunlight.

pill bottle
Inkwell's cat treats are in old pill bottles, which he likes to bat around.

Blissed kitten
Sometimes after a treat, he'll just bliss out into oblivion.

They say it's a sign of trust if a kitten cleans himself on you. Inky trusts me, I guess.

cat teaser
Inkwell loves to disembowel the cat teasers even though it doesn't have bowels.

cat teaser 2
You can keep him occupied for several minuts with the teaser.

cat teaser 3
This shot shows the kitten's shorn lower regions. It also shows how he braces himself on the table to swat the toys.

cat teaser 4
I'm not really sure what he's doing here, except tasting the computer cord while killing the teaser.

laser eyes
When the table is close to my feet, he waits patiently for me to wiggle my toes.

laser eyes 2
He does enjoy staring at me for some reason.

Inkwell's toybox is full of little cat toys that I pick up and put back for him to find again.

toybox 2
Every once in a long while, I'll even see him put something back into the box himself.

laser eyes 3
He spends a decent amount of time in his cat condo, staring at me from across the roon while chewing on a toy.

A fuzzy shot of a fuzzy cat.

Mar. 9, 2012

The couch is too close to the kitchen counter, allowing him free access to foodstuffs.

Grooming on the floor.

floor cat
He's a cutie.

Mar. 13, 2012

I'm not sure why his eye looks that color in this picture, but it's cool.

hiding 2
Sometimes he actually hides pretty well.

staring at nothing
Cats have this... tendency... to stare at nothing, thus freaking out their humans.

captured cat
This is Inky in his "I'm going to attack mommy's hand" pose.

Once I figured out that Inkwell loves to chase bottlecaps, I had a new source of cheap cat toys.

terror cat
Inkwell demonstrates "terrified cat" mode.

terror cat 2
Inkwell shows off his "stay away from me, human!" mode.

Mar. 16, 2012

Eric has a running battle with the kitten on keeping his shoelaces intact.

Mar. 17, 2012

I put up a new box on the keyboard of my computer. Kitten took to it.

Inkwell's first experience with my printer.

printer 2
Inkwell really wanted to get inside and see what was making the noise.

printer 3
He settled for nibbling on the corners of the pages.

hiding cat
This is how Inkwell usually hides.

cat tree
A friend gave us his old cat tree. Inky took to it at once.

cat tree 2
He figured out the third level quickly and chased his own tail around it.

cat tree 3
He scrambled around it, trying to work out what was where.

cat tree 4
Getting up to the top made him pretty happy.

cat tree 5
And he played on it for quite some time before taking a nap.
